Job Summary

As a Cardiology Stepdown Registered Nurse at Mission Hospital, you will provide exceptional care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures. This role requires a strong foundation in nursing principles, with a focus on post-procedural care and patient education.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to physicians
  • Provide education to patients and families on post-procedural care and self-management
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina
  • BSN degree or enrollment in a BSN program with a completion date within 5 years
  • 1 year of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in cardiology or cardiovascular care
  • BLS certification
  • Preferred: National certification in cardiology or cardiovascular care
