Customer Service Coordinator

Seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Coordinator-Customer Service to join our team at Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for promoting a high level of customer satisfaction, maintaining accurate and timely billing information, and performing daily reconciliations of charge and payment entries and bank deposits.
Responsibilities- Verify insurance coverage and communicate regularly with carriers and regulatory agencies for reimbursement purposes.
- Perform daily and monthly close-out procedures for internal controls and cash balancing.
- Maintain a working knowledge of insurance co-pays, deductibles, and workman's compensation protocols to ensure accurate and compliant billing information.
- Promote customer satisfaction while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor in both verbal and nonverbal communication.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of corporate policies and procedures as they relate to clinic operations.
- Answer telephones, take and direct messages in a timely manner to maintain continuous workflow.
- Maintain an organized and efficient work environment by keeping files and records neat and orderly to promote a smooth workflow and ensure confidentiality.
- Coordinate resources necessary to input accurate data, collect appropriate fees at time of service, and assist patients with financial counseling when necessary.
- Carry out all other duties assigned by the Clinic Manager in a timely manner.
Education: Preferred: Collegiate or medical trade completion. Associates Degree. Minimum: Skill in communicating clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral, and verbal format to achieve high productivity and efficiency.
Experience: Preferred: One year's current experience with insurance billing and/or medical collection and medical terminology.
Special Skills: Preferred: Proficient with 10-key. Minimum: Type 30 wpm, 10-key experience, Excellent customer relations skills. Basic knowledge of Windows applications. Current knowledge of medical terminology.
