Job Summary

The Strategic Account Growth Manager plays a crucial role in driving business growth through the development and execution of strategic initiatives for major accounts. This position requires strong communication and sales skills, as well as the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve assigned territory sales quota by developing and executing sales plans that meet or exceed business growth objectives
  • Present and communicate the benefits of Genuine Parts Company's programs to major account customers
  • Work closely with Regional Sales Managers to provide feedback, ideas, and field insights to drive program adoption and overall execution
  • Evaluate and optimize sales strategies to ensure consistent business growth
  • Host training sessions for local sales teams on program adoption and utilization
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communication to all major account customers
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity to maintain a competitive edge

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of previous selling and account management experience, with a solid record of success developing new business while maintaining and growing existing business
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within assigned territory (50% or more)
  • Sales acumen, including the ability to understand and apply sales principles, techniques, and processes effectively
  • Strong communication and customer focus, with the ability to identify, understand, and meet the needs of customers to build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships
  • Resilience and adaptability, with the ability to recover quickly from setbacks, maintain motivation, and adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Results orientation and financial acumen, with a strong drive to meet or exceed sales targets and objectives
  • Product knowledge, with a deep understanding of the specifications, features, benefits, and differentiators between products and brands
