About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Storage Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining storage systems for our government customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement storage solutions for multiple environments, including physical and virtualized storage systems.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for storage-related issues, including troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Collaborate with program personnel to ensure storage configurations meet requirements and are properly integrated into the system.
  • Develop and maintain storage design documentation, including configuration and architecture diagrams.
  • Work with vendors to install and troubleshoot hardware and software storage solutions.
  • Collaborate with system administrators and other engineering personnel to implement storage configurations.
Requirements
  • Active and transferable DOD-TS or TS/SCI U.S government issues security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Physics and a minimum of 5+ years of related work experience.
  • Experience with storage configuration on physical and virtualized storage environments.
  • Experience with enterprise backup architecture, emphasizing Cohesity backup solutions.
  • Experience on premise and virtualized infrastructure data center systems design.
  • Experience Linux System Administration.
  • Experience scripting skills (i.e. PowerShell, Python, Ruby, bash, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience containerized storage solutions experience Such as: PVC/OCP/Kubernetes
  • Experience with automation design and implementation using Unix/Linux command-line shell scripts.
  • Experience with fiber channel configurations on storage, fiber channel switches, tape libraries and servers, including multipath configurations.
  • Experience working in standard MS Office productivity suite, including at least intermediate experience with Excel and Visio.
  • Experience in creating informative charts and drawings to illustrate the storage system's configuration and design.
  • Experience with delivery coordination to a site.
  • Current Security+ certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
