Princeton, New Jersey, United States Bristol-Myers Squibb Company Full time

We are seeking a highly motivated undergraduate scientist to join the Leads Discovery & Optimization (LDO) department at Bristol Myers Squibb. In this role, you will work within a dynamic environment to learn how cellular signaling and GPCR pharmacology can impact early drug discovery.

The undergraduate scientist will be responsible for executing and optimizing cellular assays, including nanoluciferase complementation and BRET-based biosensor assays. You will also learn relevant automation technologies, such as liquid handlers, acoustic transfers, and plate readers, to execute assays in a high-throughput format.

As a member of the Cellular & Molecular Pharmacology & Screening Technologies team, you will gain an understanding of GPCR signaling and pharmacology in early drug discovery through hands-on lab-based work and critical reading of the scientific literature. You will also maintain a detailed lab notebook of all lab work and present an end-of-project summary before the LDO department.

To be successful in this role, you will need a minimum 3.0 GPA, be a rising college junior or senior working toward acquiring a BS in biology, biochemistry, or a related field, and have a minimum of 3 semesters of laboratory coursework. Prior experience in cell culture or cellular assays is preferred but not necessary.

Bristol Myers Squibb is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from qualified candidates with arrest and conviction records, pursuant to applicable laws in your area. We are committed to ensuring that people with disabilities can excel through a transparent recruitment process, reasonable workplace accommodations/adjustments, and ongoing support in their roles.

We are dedicated to ensuring that our employees have the resources to pursue their goals, both at work and in their personal lives. We offer a wide variety of competitive benefits, services, and programs that provide our employees with the resources to thrive.
