Job Title: Senior Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Psychiatrist to join our team at California Correctional Health Care Services. As a Senior Psychiatrist, you will play a critical role in providing psychiatric services to inmates in our correctional facilities.

Job Summary:

The Senior Psychiatrist will be responsible for providing direct assistance to CDCR institutions, identifying and removing obstacles to providing psychiatric services, and participating in quality management processes. You will work closely with the Statewide Mental Health Program (SMHP) Chief Psychiatrist to improve productivity and quality of care, providing guidance and consultation to institutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct psychiatric services to inmates in correctional facilities
  • Identify and remove obstacles to providing psychiatric services
  • Participate in quality management processes
  • Work closely with the SMHP Chief Psychiatrist to improve productivity and quality of care
  • Provide guidance and consultation to institutions
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in psychiatry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will also need to be able to travel statewide and work in a fast-paced environment.
