Part-Time Faculty: Biology Instructor

The Department of Biological Sciences at Quinnipiac University seeks a highly qualified part-time faculty member to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in biology. The successful candidate will have a strong background in biology and experience in teaching at the undergraduate level. The position is available for the Spring and Summer 2025 semesters.
About the Department:
The Department of Biological Sciences offers undergraduate majors in biology, biochemistry, and molecular and cell biology, as well as graduate programs in molecular and cell biology. The department is committed to providing students with a comprehensive education in the biological sciences and preparing them for careers in research, education, and industry.
Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in biology, including introductory biology, human anatomy and physiology, and molecular and cell biology.
- Develop and implement course syllabi, assessments, and evaluations.
- Meet with students during office hours to provide guidance and support.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in biology or a related field is required; PhD preferred.
- Relevant teaching experience at the undergraduate level is preferred.
- Experience in the use of instructional technologies, especially Blackboard.
- Commitment to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.
