Residential Youth Program Coordinator

Seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Youth Worker to join our team at St. Joseph Children's Home.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work with children in need, providing a supportive and therapeutic environment for their growth and development. As a Residential Youth Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of clients in care, while implementing the treatment program.
Job Responsibilities- Therapeutic Milieu: Provide a safe and nurturing environment for clients, responding to their needs with fairness, objectivity, and concern.
- Client Support: Ensure the health and safety of clients, providing input into treatment plans and goals, and communicating with the treatment team about client progress.
- Supervision and Assistance: Supervise and assist residents in fulfilling daily expectations, teaching basic life skills, and supporting them during activities.
- Crisis Management: Perform competently in crisis management, maintaining certification in SCM and utilizing these skills to ensure client safety.
- Documentation and Communication: Accurately document client events, communicate with coworkers, and maintain accurate records.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Experience in providing care to clients, winning their respect, and guiding them in their development
- A driver's license with an insurable driving record
- Certification in Safe Crisis Management
