Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our team at US Foods, Inc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel equipment, ensuring all maintenance tasks meet company standards.
This role requires a minimum of three years of hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic, or a combination of both. You should have a strong understanding of diesel equipment and the ability to perform preventative maintenance while adhering to workplace safety regulations.
Competitive Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this role is $28-$33 per hour, depending on experience. Job Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, bobtails, reefers, lift gates, and other equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake repairs.
- Complete documentation of all repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability.
- Handle road service calls and perform road rescue/transport equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations and government guidelines.
- A minimum of three years of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic, or a combination of both.
- Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repairs.
- SUCCESSFULLY DEMONSTRATED INDEPENDENT ANALYTICAL AND PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS.
- Prior experience in administering an appropriate PM program.
- Must furnish own personal hand tools.
