Job Description

At The Midtown Group, we are seeking a highly skilled Vendor Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for proactively engaging and driving strategy in line with corporate objectives and supporting the management of a portfolio of BCBSA vendors to extract maximum value for the organization from existing contracts and relationships.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract management, relationship management, and strategic sourcing. You will work closely with management from strategic and preferred suppliers to ensure that vendors are delivering against their contractual obligations.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Executing on vendor-specific management strategies
  • Managing the IT resource outsourcing contracting process between outsourced vendors, legal, key stakeholders, and finance
  • Collaborating with key business stakeholders to understand business requirements and vendor performance; supporting the implementation of appropriate vendor management strategies
  • Supporting the relationship survey process and vendor performance reviews for strategic/complex relationships
  • Ensuring compliance with enterprise policies and procedures
  • Delivering financial optimization by driving compliance to contractual agreements

Preferred qualifications include a 4-year college degree, at least 5 years of experience, and 3 years of IT labor contract negotiating and managing vendors. Strong analytical capabilities, knowledge of procurement policies and regulations, and experience working in a team-oriented environment are also essential.
