CDL A Truck Driver Job Description

At US Foods, Inc., we are seeking a skilled CDL A Truck Driver to join our team. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy driving and have excellent customer service skills.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and safety-conscious CDL A Truck Driver to safely transport products to customers and meet scheduled delivery times. The ideal candidate will have a valid CDL Class A, at least six months of commercial driving experience, and the ability to read and communicate in the English language.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled delivery times
  • Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
  • Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
  • Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
  • Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
Requirements:
  • Valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
  • Minimum of six months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required
  • Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations
  • Must be able to read and communicate in the English language
Benefits:

This role offers an estimated salary range of $34.78 to $36.91 per hour, depending on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law.
