Compassionate Hospice Nurse

Hospice of the Ozarks is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in providing compassionate care to patients during their end-of-life journey and supporting those who grieve.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Hospice LPN, you will be responsible for direct patient care within the scope of practice for assigned patients under the direction of a registered nurse. You must possess the knowledge and clinical skills necessary to provide nursing care, ensuring high-quality focused and cost-effective care delivery outcomes. Adaptability is essential for this role, as work schedules and daily workloads change frequently to meet patient needs.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should have a graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing and hold a current Arkansas or Compact State PN license in good standing. A valid and clean Driver's License, reliable transportation, and agency required liability insurance are also necessary to complete home visits. Additionally, active personal automobile liability insurance coverage consisting of $100,000 per person and $300,000 per accident for bodily injury is required.
Salary and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $2,500 - $5,000, including a sign-on bonus. Other benefits include opportunities for professional growth and development, a supportive work environment, and comprehensive training programs.
Physical Demands:
This position requires the ability to stand and walk, bend, squat, and twist for extended periods, occasionally lifting 50 pounds or more of equipment and assisting with patient lifts up to 125 pounds or more using proper body mechanics. The employee must also be able to respond quickly in emergency situations, handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure, and maintain keen senses of hearing and visual acuity to respond to changing patient situations.
