We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Director for our Robotic Surgery Unit located in the heart of St. Louis County, just 8 miles from downtown St. Louis.
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced physician to lead our Robotic Surgery Unit and oversee the delivery of high-quality patient care using advanced robotic-assisted procedures. As a Medical Director, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless integration between our teaching facility and St. Louis University School of Medicine, promoting cutting-edge medical research and education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of strategic plans for the Robotic Surgery Unit
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and quality of care
- Mentor and train staff on best practices and emerging technologies
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including hospital administrators, clinicians, and academic partners
- Participate in clinical research and publish scholarly work to advance the field of robotic surgery
Requirements:
- Board certification in Neurology or related specialty
- Minimum 5 years of experience in leadership roles, preferably in a teaching hospital setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
- Experience with robotic-assisted surgical procedures and familiarity with current literature and advancements in the field
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines
