Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Children's National Hospital. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our home care program.

Job Summary:

The LPN will be responsible for providing nursing care to patients in their homes, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans. This is a PRN position with flexible scheduling, offering competitive pay rates and opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, wound care, and vital sign monitoring
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, identifying areas for improvement and developing targeted interventions
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Document patient progress, including medication administration, vital signs, and treatment plans
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and share best practices
Requirements:
  • Current LPN licensure in the District of Columbia or Maryland
  • 1 year of experience in pediatric home care or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records
