We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join our team at Furniture Mart USA Corporate Office in Sioux Falls, SD. This is an entry-level position with tremendous potential for growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Department, including answering general inquiries and representing the department.
  • Manage the HR email inbox and in-person HR mailbox at the Corporate Office.
  • Maintain driver files and DOT tracking, as well as the MVR list and conduct annual MVR runs.
  • Ensure the maintenance of filing and organization of the file room, including the creation of electronic files.
  • Reconcile the HR credit card and other invoices as needed.
  • Communicate random drug and alcohol screenings each month.
  • Responsible for updating and disseminating the contact/location list.
  • Administration/Communication of miscellaneous employee perks.
  • Involvement on the Employee Activities Committee and responsible for taking minutes at monthly meetings.
Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive data.
  • Excellent organization and written/verbal communication skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and e-mail applications.
