Clinical Laboratory Assistant III

Key Responsibilities:
Receive and process physician orders for blood tests, facilitating timely specimen collection and processing, and ensuring proper documentation.
Maintain equipment and automation in specimen processing, performing routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure optimal functioning.
Conduct quality assurance checks on received specimens to ensure patient safety and accurate test results, maintaining compliance with established protocols.
Respond promptly and accurately to add-on requests, researching and locating samples as needed, and delivering them for testing.
Employ automation or manual processes to prepare, centrifuge, and aliquot laboratory specimens accurately, maintaining specimen integrity and identification.
Requirements:
High School graduate or equivalent
A minimum of one-year full-time equivalent laboratory clinical support and phlebotomy experience is required.
Effective communication and empathy with patients, colleagues, and other members of the healthcare team, ensuring clear and accurate information exchange.
Proactive approach in identifying and solving problems, contributing to smooth operations in specimen processing.
Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in work.
