At Select Medical's Critical Illness Recovery Hospitals, delivering exceptional patient care is at the heart of everything we do.

We are dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for our patients, who require extended hospital care after being critically ill or post-ICU. As a Respiratory Therapist with our team, you will play a vital role in their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patient needs and develop personalized treatment plans to ensure optimal care.
  • Provide high-quality respiratory care to patients with complex medical conditions, promoting their comfort and well-being.
  • Insert and remove endotracheal tubes safely and effectively, adhering to established protocols.
  • Foster a culture of continuous quality improvement, suggesting innovative solutions to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Teach and counsel patients and their families on proper respiratory care techniques and strategies for managing chronic conditions.

Requirements:

  • Possess an active CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
  • Hold a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
  • Meet current state licensure requirements.
  • Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift; PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of related experience is highly desirable.
