Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop and maintain detailed project plans based on ITT Value Based Product Development process, supplier manufacturing plans, internal manufacturing plans, logistics processing time, and quality control and testing.
  2. Assign duties or responsibilities to project personnel and lead cross-functional teams through all phases of project lifecycles.
  3. Coordinate with vendors to ensure that products are delivered on time, in the correct quantities, and meet all contract quality standards.
  4. Develop a strong partnership and interaction within the engineering and project team to manage Technical Data Packages and other engineering processes.
  5. Ensure customer requirements are met and manage stakeholder expectations through effective communication.
  6. Confer with project personnel to identify and resolve problems.
  7. Create program and project status presentations for delivery to stakeholders, leadership, and project personnel.
  8. Implement and manage detailed project schedules and risk and opportunity registers.
  9. Monitor the performance of project team members to provide performance feedback.
  10. Prepare professional and user-friendly project-related communications for distribution to employees, customers, leadership, and suppliers.
  11. Provide technical and proposal support to the Sales and Production Departments.
  12. Plan and formulate engineering projects and organize project staff according to project requirements.
  13. Assign project personnel to specific phases or aspects of project such as technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and product testing.
  14. Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
  15. Coordinate activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.
  16. Direct integration of technical activities and products.
  17. Evaluate and approve design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.
  18. Manage technical and program scope.
  19. Control budget and expenditures within limitations of approved budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent education and experience.
  • 5+ years' experience in an aerospace engineering and manufacturing environment, with 2+ years in project engineering/management.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
  • Microsoft 365 including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Adobe Acrobat.
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery from start to finish.
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems – Preferably Oracle.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, problem-solving abilities, and leadership talent necessary to drive positive outcomes of design/manufacturing projects.
  • Foundational understanding of finance/project finance to make informed decisions that affect the financial health of a project.
  • Skilled at customer relations, managing expectations, and building relationships/partnerships.
