Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Specialist to join our team at Ascension. As a key member of our cardiac catheterization lab, you will play a critical role in analyzing, diagnosing, and treating cardiovascular system disorders.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for procedures, reviewing medical history, positioning patients, and cleaning/shaving/testing sites as necessary.
  • Interpret, describe, and report test results, recognizing recording errors and artifacts, and reacting appropriately.
  • Monitor patients prior to, during, and after procedures, promptly reporting any abnormal findings in patient condition.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment, supplies, and lab area, ensuring proper functioning and reporting potential problems or malfunctions.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department.
Requirements
  • Required Credentials: BLS Provider, Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, Cardiographic Tech, Radiologic Technologist, or Cardiac Sonographer.
  • Preferred Credentials: Advanced Life Support or Local Exception.
  • Education: High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience or Associate's degree.
Additional Preferences

We prefer candidates with one year of Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology experience, one year of recent experience as a Cardiovascular Technician, and a willingness to travel 50+ miles from their permanent residence.
