Job Title: Lead Mental Health Technician

Job Summary:

Nexus Health Systems Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Mental Health Technician to join our team. As a key member of our residential care team, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care and assisting patients with daily living activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct supervision of patients/residents and ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.
  • Manage and direct mental health technicians on shift, ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide support in crisis intervention as needed.
  • Work with a multi-disciplinary team to lead milieu activities and develop patient treatment programs.
  • Chart patient observations and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in training, in-service education, and staff meetings as scheduled.
  • Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs and current literature.

Requirements:

  • AA/BA/BS in Psychology, Education, or related social service field (preferred)
  • Experience in residential care or mental health treatment (preferred)
  • SAMA or other Nexus Approved non-aggressive behavior intervention certification
