Job Title: Community Support Professional

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Community Support Professional to join our team at the Barber National Institute. As a Community Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to live fulfilling lives in their communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Identify, respond to, and report suspected abuse and reportable incidents.
  • Ensure the health and safety of individuals to the maximum extent possible.
  • Support individuals in their daily lives, including assisting with personal care, meal preparation, and transportation.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team planning meetings and other meetings as assigned.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of action steps/goal plans that support outcomes in the Individual Support Plan.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • One-year direct care experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain eligibility for insurance under the automobile and bonding insurance policy.
  • Must successfully complete and maintain certifications for C.P.R. and First Aid.
