General Surgery Specialist Wanted for Locum Tenens Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled General Surgeon to join our team as a locum tenens physician in South Carolina. This is an excellent opportunity for a surgeon looking to provide 24-hour call coverage on a temporary basis.
Job OverviewThis role primarily involves emergency cases arising in the ER, with no scheduled surgeries. The hospital has a low call volume, allowing the locum surgeon to provide high-quality care with manageable demands.
Responsibilities- Emergency cases only, with a low call volume of 10-15 calls per day
- Comfortable handling upper and lower endoscopies
- Comfortable with basic laparoscopic procedures
- Some trauma stabilization, with transfers to the main campus as needed
- Board Certified in General Surgery
- Active South Carolina Medical License
- CSR License: Required
- DEA: Must be permanently registered in South Carolina (privileges will be suspended if DEA is registered in another state)
The estimated salary for this position is $250,000 - $300,000 per year, based on national averages for General Surgeons in the United States.
