Job Summary:

The Assembly Tech 2 role is responsible for the assembly of power generation equipment, including generators, enclosures, energy storage units, and PECs. This position requires following work instructions created from engineering drawings to build power generation equipment to specified design. The Assembly Tech 2 position is tasked with the electrical wiring and final electrical terminations of the assembly build. They are also responsible for landing and terminating the load cables and other critical components of the power generation equipment manufacturing process. This role requires demonstrated proficiency in the servicing/maintenance, assembly, or emplacement of power generation equipment; skills related to the electrical/mechanical servicing of heavy equipment will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assemble complex electrical and mechanical sub-assemblies according to drawings, bills of material, schematics, and/or standard procedures.
2. Reference engineering documents and schematics to guide the assembling of the mechanical parts and the wiring of the controls and house power.
3. Read and understand electrical drawings of both house power and communication wiring, properly landing and labeling wiring in both TCC/ECC and house power panel.
4. Mount Genset on its skid using correct hardware and meeting torque requirements.
5. Mount all stands to skid (ECC, GBC, SCR, disconnect) and setting said components in place.
6. Connect exhaust parts and install them using correct hardware, gaskets, and meeting all torque requirements.
7. Make load cables using correct gauge cable, lug, and proper crimp.
8. Fabricate CAN harnesses, fuel line, and block heater hoses.
9. Install all phases of load cables, bend install conduit, and assemble def pumps, solenoids, and complex def systems.
10. Electrical wire and cable routing skills and the understanding of standard wiring workmanship as it pertains to quality.
11. Proficiency using a crimping tool, stripping tool, and multimeter as well as hand tools such as wrenches, ratchets, torque wrenches.
12. Collaborate and coordinate daily tasks with others to align priorities for smooth assembly operations.
13. Troubleshooting skills are crucial, may be required to drill and tap holes, crimps, screws, bolts, rivets, mount control units, and to provide openings for elements, wiring, and instruments using hand and power tools, machines, and equipment to ensure proper fitment and operation.
14. Assist with the integration, on-the-job training, and mentoring of new associates.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
This position will require standing, stooping, bending, and limited lifting of up to 50lbs. Manual dexterity requires the ability to manipulate tools and small parts of machines. General manufacturing environment which may include non-climate regulated workspaces.
