Imaging Specialist

The Multi-Modality Technologist is responsible for performing and producing images for various imaging modalities, including CT, XR, and MRI.
Key Responsibilities- Performs duties for multiple imaging modalities, including XR, CT, MRI, ARRT, and RDMS.
- Safely operates equipment and accessories to minimize risk of patient and equipment.
- Selects appropriate imaging and sequences based on multiple factors.
- Knowledge of workflows, procedures, and processes of the imaging modalities.
- Performs venipuncture, including starting, maintaining, and removing intravenous access.
- Provides radiation protection and other protection specific to the modalities.
- Obtains and verifies patient clinical history and lab work.
- Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited institution or approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program or approved School of Ultrasound/Medical Sonography.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- State licensure certification (if required by the state).
- Registration with ARRT or RDMS or CNMT.
- Competency in two of the following areas, with certification within 12 months: Bone Densitometry, Breast Sonography, Radiologic Technology, Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Ultrasonography, Nuclear Medicine, Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography, Cardiac Interventional Radiography, Cardiac Sonographer, Vascular Interventional Radiography, Mammography, Vascular Sonography, and Registered Vascular Technologist.
- 1 year of experience in a healthcare environment (preferred).
- EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Picture archiving communication system (PACS) experience (preferred).
