Job Summary:

As a key member of the H-E-B team, the Sous Chef will oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring seamless execution of menu items and exceptional customer service. This role requires a strong culinary background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the preparation and presentation of menu items, ensuring consistency and quality.
Assist in scheduling and training kitchen staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop new menu items and improve existing ones, ensuring alignment with H-E-B's culinary standards.
Maintain accurate inventory levels, manage food costs, and implement effective ordering and receiving procedures.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.

Requirements:

Professional culinary degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff.
Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, including food safety, inventory management, and labor control.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
