Job Title: Systems Engineering Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineering Team Lead to join our team at Mb Solutions Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the Systems Engineering activities for the Gateway Project GRAIL.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Systems Engineering activities of the Gateway Program GRAIL Laboratory
  • Support engineering flight project schedule, procurement documentation, budget, and system requirements documents
  • Develop and support sub-project requirement and verification data packages to support architecture requirements, design, verification/validation, operations, and sustaining engineering
  • Conduct product life cycle reviews, coordinate integration, verification, and validation activities
  • Work with requirements to align with hardware specifications while understanding the verifications
  • Perform system engineering functions of projects and provide user input feedback during the design process
  • Work with ground testing and flight operations testing of hardware with end-item documentation
  • Review verification and validation reports to verify compliance with requirements
  • Participate and contribute to system requirements reviews, preliminary design reviews, and critical design reviews
  • Perform and review system-level architecture trade studies and analyses that will influence the overall electrical design and performance
  • Participate in test, verification, and operation of the as-built hardware
  • Work with team members and leads to identify risks, develop risk statements, and plan risk responses
  • Work and present schedule and progress to customers
  • Must have good communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment
Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering and normally possess years of related experience
  • License and certification may be required
  • 10 years' of relevant experience in systems engineering
  • Knowledge and understanding of SE&I processes, methodologies, tools, and technologies including model-based systems engineering
  • Knowledge of test principles, tools, and processes needed to develop test requirements
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the space hardware field, such as mechanical and electrical system design, engineering drawings and sketches, and material selection
  • Ability to prepare written documents and to verbally present at various meetings
  • Able to organize and prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines and schedules with limited supervision
  • Experience working in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Flight Hardware and/or Flight Processes/Paperwork
  • Experience with NASA processes
  • Knowledge and experience with DOORS Next Generation
