Job Overview

This exciting opportunity is a Lead Technical Systems Integrator role supporting the United States Air Force Family of Advanced Beyond Line-of-Sight Terminals, BITI, or FAB-T Program at Hanscom AFB MA. The position is hybrid with 1-2 days a week on site.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough reviews of the program portfolio to evaluate and recommend alternative plans, improve systems engineering programs/processes, manage/sustain program technical baseline, and design/perform system level tests to ensure that subsystems and system performance are achieved in accordance with approved specifications.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive program reviews to assess and refine proposed plans, systems engineering programs, design, and test results to guarantee that subsystem and system performance meet program specifications.
  • Promote collaboration by preparing technical documents defining, specifying, and recommending system/subsystem characteristics. Prepare management reports and deliver technical presentations for planning, implementation, and corrective action using application of engineering economy principles.
  • Validate systems through development of criteria and procedures. Analyze and/or evaluate major engineering systems results.
  • Deliver system/program engineering, technical support, and training to support programs/initiatives, including but not limited to acquisition, development, integration, sustainment, continued evolution, deployment/fielding, and operations oversight.
  • Provide engineering support services and inputs to program/project risk management activities in compliance with Air Force SEAM processes.
  • Implement problem/gap definition, trade space analysis, science and technology roadmap analysis, "Set based design" for concept development, Multi-Objective Decision Analysis (MODA), and cost versus capability trade-off analysis.
  • Apply Digital Engineering, Digital Thread, and Digital Twin techniques across the system lifecycle.
  • Utilize engineering expertise to apply configuration management, data management, security, and other technical integration functions to systems and subsystems.
  • Manage complex system interfaces, identify, and document interfaces, ensuring effective integration of multiple subsystems.
  • Evaluate and optimize system requirements to meet user needs; leverage user requirements to design, develop, fabricate, test, and evaluate system concepts, perform assessments, and review the system design.
  • Perform and/or support capability analyses, COTS/GOTS evaluation, component selection, and system interface development to ensure DoD and commercially accepted standards and requirements compliance.
  • Construct models and simulations of systems to demonstrate ability to meet user requirements.
  • Conduct engineering performance, cost-effectiveness, reliability, technical, and schedule risk assessment and scheduling trade-off studies, documenting information in a technical report as directed by the task order.
