Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Treasury and ALM Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expertise in treasury and asset liability management, including liquidity risk management, interest rate risk management, and capital management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expertise in treasury and asset liability management, including liquidity risk management, interest rate risk management, and capital management.
  • Interface with internal and external stakeholders to build a broad range of knowledge spanning treasury, capital, and asset and liability categories.
  • Specialize in ALM matters such as intraday liquidity, deposit liabilities, interest rate risk, currency risk, capital management, and planning.
  • Provide input into the development of the ALM policy and strategy for assigned regions or entities in alignment with corporate guidance and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the local or regional production and submission of treasury-related information to legal entity governance committees.
  • Advise junior professionals on improving their knowledge and addressing complex or unusual issues.
  • Collect financial data, validate, and populate various capital management, IRR, liquidity, and asset/liability models or analyses.
  • Run models, conduct liquidity stress testing, and report on results.
  • Ensure models are functioning as expected, troubleshoot, and report on unexpected or undesired results.
  • Assess risk inherent in new or changing bank products and adjust model inputs.
  • Review, analyze, and execute standard to complex capital and asset liability management activities internationally.
  • Monitor compliance to internal and regulatory balance sheet metrics for assigned legal entities or regions and escalate any issues to senior management.
  • Provide technical guidance to less experienced team members on complex issues.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance ALM risk measurement and reporting.
  • Develop policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and corporate guidance related to liquidity, capital, and IRR aspects.
  • Ensure alignment to liquidity risk position and any regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and document liquidity self-assessments and liquidity funding contingency plans.
  • Prepare reports that provide clear and accurate analyses and identify and track risks.
  • Ensure proper controls on the quality and integrity of reports produced for senior management and ALM committee processes.
  • Cultivate relationships with peers in the businesses, risk management, finance, and corporate treasury to ensure efficient collection of data/model inputs.
  • May provide advice on specific business decisions that will affect liquidity, capital, or interest rate risk.
  • May represent the bank in interactions with applicable regulators.
  • Monitor the regulatory environment, conduct applicable research, and make recommendations for responding to emerging or changing regulatory requirements affecting ALM, capital, or liquidity funding.
  • Conduct special projects and ad-hoc analyses/reporting as requested.
  • May serve as a project lead, engaging peers across the bank and providing task oversight.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Experience with liquidity stress testing, liquidity risk management, interest rate risk management, capital management, and/or asset-liability management within large complex financial organizations is preferred.
