Nurse Practitioner

The Graduate Practical Nurse (GPN) under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse administers nursing care to designated residents at Father Baker Manor Sub Acute. This role requires the ability to coordinate and support the activities of certified nurse assistants and actively participate in the direct care of residents, following the specific approaches as stated in the plan of care.
Responsibilities:
High School diploma or GED
Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing
Candidate is required to complete the NYS permit application on the Office of Professionals website
Must pass NYS LPN Exam within 120 days
Requirements:
Must meet all requirements to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-PN)
Long term care experience preferred
Working Conditions:
This role may be exposed to disagreeable conditions, including odors, communicable diseases, infections, and injuries from residents or equipment. The nurse will be required to push, lift residents, and be on their feet most of the day.
