Aya Locums offers a dynamic opportunity for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team in Chapel Hill, NC. This temporary assignment is a great chance to gain experience and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

About the Position

This locum CRNA position is available for 24 weeks, with a competitive hourly rate of $205-$215. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in a clinical anesthesia setting and possess strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgery, including preoperative assessment, intraoperative anesthesia management, and postoperative pain management.
  • Collaborate effectively with surgeons, surgical teams, and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthetic plans as needed to ensure patient safety.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and provide critical care interventions when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and complete medical records, adhering to regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
  • Stay current on the latest advancements in anesthesia practice through ongoing education and professional development.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Nursing or Doctoral degree in Nursing Practice from an accredited CRNA program.
  • Active and unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license in North Carolina.
  • National certification as a CRNA by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
  • At least one year of experience in a clinical anesthesia setting.
