Job Summary:

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking a highly skilled Program Manager to oversee the Risk Informed Design Program. This position is located at the New England District Headquarters in Concord, MA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise personnel on organizational policy and analyze projects for risk and reliability related issues.
  • Provide consultation services on levee and dam safety modifications and assist in developing alternate solutions to resolve risk-informed engineering issues.
  • Serve as an advisor on flood risk management civil works issues and perform quality control on work of multi-disciplinary personnel.
  • Facilitate complex risk assessments of levees and dams and develop alternate solutions to resolve risk-informed engineering issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in geology or a related field and 20 additional semester hours in any combination of mathematics, physics, chemistry, biological science, or a related field.
  • One year of specialized experience in risk management, engineering, or a related field.

Working Conditions:

This position is located at the New England District Headquarters in Concord, MA. The selected candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly.
