Job Summary:

We're seeking an experienced Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team in Nuclear Medicine As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing therapeutic and diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures to provide high-quality images for radiologists and physicians. Your expertise will play a crucial role in helping us deliver compassionate care to our patients.

Salary Information:

The estimated salary for this position is between $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include paid parental leave, flexible payment options, and upfront tuition coverage through FlexPath Funded.

About the Job:

This is a part-time PRN (as needed) opportunity with flexible scheduling, meeting PRN4 requirements. You'll work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care delivery. Our state-of-the-art facilities are equipped with the latest technology to support your success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and operate cameras that detect and map radioactive drugs in a patient's body to create diagnostic images.
  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical factors accurately.
  • Order, prepare, administer, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
  • Perform routine equipment checks to ensure proper functioning.
  • Report any issues or malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized department.

Requirements:

  • An Associate's degree or completion of a Nuclear Medicine certification program.
  • No prior experience is required.
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), or Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) Certification and Registration - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
