JOB DESCRIPTION

Role and Responsibilities

The Gourmet Food Sales Development Specialist is a self-motivated, high-performing individual who will be responsible for cultivating relationships with top Restaurants in the Greater New York area. This person will have a strong passion for quality and be able to articulate what makes Citarella the top wholesaler in the industry.

This role involves:

  • Generating leads through cold calling, researching, and networking to identify potential clients and expand our customer base.
  • Developing strategic sales plans to drive organic growth in the market and increase revenue.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for prospective clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Recruiting and maintaining a strong network of chefs, owners, and general managers to stay connected with the culinary community.
  • Collaborating with the wholesale team to ensure knowledge of current offerings and upcoming products.
  • Representing the Citarella brand with integrity, professionalism, and high standards of conduct in all interactions.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3+ years of experience in outside sales or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, etc.).
  • Ability to be in the field 90% of the time and travel throughout the tri-state area by public transportation or car.
  • Experience in the fish and gourmet food industry is preferred.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
