As a Cellular Processing Specialist at Community Blood Center, you will play a vital role in transforming the donor gift of musculoskeletal tissue into new hope for patients in need of tissue transplants. Your expertise in cellular processing will ensure that each graft is produced to specific tolerance, sometimes to the mm, and then ran through a series of cleaning agents to reduce bioburden prior to final packaging.
The focus in this area is on Cellular processing, which occurs within a short time of donation to ensure cells are still viable at the time of transplantation. You will work within a team setting, possessing the ability to receive and follow directions, and must be able to report numbers accurately. This role requires heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs), moderate to continuous levels of standing, and is physically demanding.
