Automation Systems Specialist

A 6-month contract-to-direct opportunity is available for a Control Specialist based in Santa Margarita, CA, with the potential to transition to direct hire with benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, install, manage, and maintain Automation Systems used in renewable solar facilities.
  • Ensure the reliable, efficient, and safe operation of all controls and measurement systems.
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of solar farm construction projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams.
  • Review process and equipment design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and contract requirements and specifications.
  • Provide technical and consultancy support on instrumentation and controls systems and project activities for maintenance, operations, engineering, and procurement.

Requirements:

  • Experience managing and configuring A-B PLCs.
  • Understanding and experience managing projects such as site expansions or equipment upgrades.
  • Knowledge of various types of electrical and instrumentation uses and devices, electrical systems, knowledge of asset and work maintenance systems, and other general knowledge of technical applications and equipment.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.

What We Offer:

Hourly rate along with reimbursement of travel and living expenses will be provided during the contract portion of this job.
