Job Title:

Director of the Center for Health, Engagement, and Transformation

Job Summary:

The University of Kentucky College of Medicine seeks a highly accomplished director to lead the Center for Health, Engagement, and Transformation (CHET). The successful candidate will have a strong track record of research achievement in health equity, a proven ability to inspire and motivate teams, and a deep commitment to advancing the mission of the center.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership for the research and training portfolio of CHET, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Support the growth of health equity research through scholarly dissemination and the promotion of training programming.
  • Promote an inclusive environment for faculty, staff, and trainees within the center.
  • Facilitate collaborative research and conduct, including the maintenance of records of accomplishments and the support of external funding acquisition.
  • Maintain and expand University-wide and external partnerships to advance CHET's mission and initiatives.
  • Manage center resources and space to ensure effective and productive utilization.
Requirements:
  • PhD, MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated leadership in administrative positions in medical school or an academic medical center setting.
  • National recognition through involvement in academic and professional societies at a national level.
  • Proven record of recruitment and retention of talent.
