Job Description

This Diagnostic Imaging Specialist plays a critical role in supporting innovative cardiovascular programs by preparing equipment, assessing patient conditions, and maintaining a sterile environment while working collaboratively with a team of cardiologists.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares equipment before and during procedures
  • Identifies and assesses patient condition. Prepares, positions and provides patient care
  • Establishes and maintains a sterile environment
  • Serves as preceptor for new hires and radiology students and participates in the orientation of new staff
  • Maintains strong professional working relationship with the physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A completion of 24 month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligible and/or current RCIS
  • Previous Procedural Area experience preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care
