About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software to test our products.

As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of technologies, from front-end UI to back-end distributed web services. You will own the design and implementation of tests that will help in end-to-end quality of major deliverables, working closely with multiple engineers and teams to execute them.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, execute, and maintain software to test the product.
  • Design and implement tests that will help in end-to-end quality of major deliverables.
  • Work closely with multiple engineers and teams to execute tests.
  • Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and tools.
  • Propose improvements to our existing processes and automated tools to improve the team's speed, quality, and efficiency.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development testing experience.
  • 1+ years of test automation frameworks and tools building experience.
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance in a database environment.
  • Experience with security in service-oriented architectures and web services.
  • Experience in platform-level security mitigations and hardening for Linux and Windows.
  • Experience in penetration testing and exploitability-focused vulnerability assessment.
