About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Development Senior Manager to lead our strategic partnerships and fundraising efforts. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team at Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council and make a meaningful impact on the lives of girls in our community.

Job Summary

The Development Senior Manager will be responsible for maintaining and fostering relationships with United Way agencies, overseeing departmental publications, and developing funding alliances to support our mission. This role requires strong communication and relationship-building skills, as well as the ability to analyze data and develop strategic plans to drive fundraising success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of 30-40 organizations, foundations, and individuals, building strong relationships and identifying new opportunities for funding and partnership.
  • Write and submit United Way proposals and supplementary funding opportunities, ensuring timely submission and effective storytelling.
  • Attend United Way meetings, site visits, and solicitation/budget hearing meetings, providing expert representation and facilitating partnerships.
  • Coordinate contract signatures, compliance documents, agency agreements, and other administrative tasks, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and communications, showcasing outcomes and progress towards goals.
  • Serve as a key interface with foundation representatives, providing updates and insights on grant status and project progress.
  • Develop and implement the staff annual giving campaign, driving engagement and participation among colleagues.
  • Manage biannual review and ongoing development of the development website content, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
  • Cultivate and steward relationships through small events and initiatives, including Connect and Converse, Raising Awesome Girls, and the Juliette Gordon Low Luncheon.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in social sciences, marketing, or business, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with ability to interpret complex data and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in fundraising, marketing, or sales, with a proven track record of success in securing funding and building partnerships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, online resource tools, and council technology platforms, with ability to adapt quickly to new systems and processes.
