The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist works with medical providers and/or assistants to examine and treat urgent care patients. This role involves performing technical procedures and applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. The specialist is responsible for analyzing patient x-rays and reporting results to medical providers. Additionally, they provide administrative support to ensure efficient operations at GoHealth Urgent Care Centers.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with medical providers and assistants through tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication.
  • Exercise professional judgment to provide healthcare services, including applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients across various age groups.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an approved Radiologic Technology program is required.
  • Experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is mandatory.
  • Applicable state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist is required.
  • BLS certification is required at the time of hire.
