About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Medical Neurologist Specialist to join our esteemed Neurology team in Tacoma, WA. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert care to patients with neurological disorders and work collaboratively with neurohospitalists to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide inpatient consultative care and clinical oversight for stroke and TIA patients admitted to our hospitals, including the comprehensive stroke center at St. Joseph Medical Center.
  • Respond to in-hospital stroke emergencies as the primary stroke consultant.
  • Offer urgent outpatient consultation and follow-up care to TIA patients and those with subacute stroke in clinic or virtually.
  • Support local Stroke Leadership Teams, assisting with ongoing stroke center certifications and quality improvement projects.

Requirements
  • A Master's degree or doctorate in Nursing.
  • Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • A current WA State RN/ARNP license with prescriptive authority.
  • BLS for healthcare providers.
  • Successful completion of the NET-SMART AP vascular neurology fellowship program or equivalent vascular neurology program within 2 years of employment, OR Certification as an Advanced Neurovascular Practitioner (ANVP) or eligibility to sit for ANVP exam upon hire and successful completion of the exam within 1 year of employment.
Compensation

$62.50 - $80.77 per hour.
