Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled HR Administrative Assistant to join our team at Agri-Mark in Middlebury, VT. This role is critical to the daily operations of the HR department and requires excellent communication, data management, and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the HR team, including scheduling meetings and assisting employees with various tasks.
  • Assist with recruitment by posting job openings, screening resumes, and coordinating background checks.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR files, records, and documentation in compliance with legal and company policies.
  • Support payroll processing and timekeeping functions as needed.
  • Prepare reports related to HR metrics such as employee turnover and leave of absence.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees with HR-related questions and direct them to appropriate resources when necessary.
Position Qualifications
  • Ethics - Treat people with respect and integrity, uphold company policies and values.
  • Computer skills - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing organizational needs.
  • High school diploma or GED required; higher education in HR or Business Administration preferred.
Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary ranging from $20-$25 per hour, commensurate with experience.
