HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Medical Informatics Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our clinical information services department, you will play a vital role in leading the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) initiatives.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced RN with a strong background in CPOE nursing informatics or equivalent experience. You will work closely with physicians, clinicians, and other stakeholders to define enhancement opportunities, identify methodologies for implementing, utilizing, and modifying solutions that support healthcare access, delivery, and evaluation.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain provider clinical order sets, including the integration and maintenance of Evidence-Based Practice and Standards of Care within the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Develop and review Evidence-Based Order Sets, patient care protocols, and other tools.
  • Maintain the infrastructure to support the life cycle of provider order sets (CPOE) and standards-based clinical decision support.
  • Actively resolve issues related to CPOE initiatives, including processes and workflows.
  • Escalate appropriate issues to the Service Desk, division, or corporate resources.
  • Collaborate with end-users, physicians, and clinicians to assist in defining enhancement opportunities and to identify methodologies for implementing, utilizing, and modifying solutions that support healthcare access, delivery, and evaluation.
  • Support and promote system standardization, utilization, and best practices in the areas of CPOE initiatives.

Requirements

  • Licensure as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure.
  • Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
  • Six months or more CPOE nursing informatics or equivalent experience required with CPOE Train-the-Trainer level knowledge/expertise.
