Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Permit Expeditor/Construction Administrator to join our team at AVCON Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and tracking permit applications, shop drawings, and construction schedules, ensuring compliance with regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit permit applications, shop drawings, and other required documents in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with in-house design staff, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Review and analyze permit requirements, construction plans, and specifications to ensure compliance.
  • Monitor and document construction activities, including quantities submitted for payment and shop drawings.
  • Assist in the preparation of RFIs and as-built surveys.
  • Review and approve shop drawings and RFIs.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of permit applications, shop drawings, and construction activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in permit expediting, construction administration, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in an office environment with occasional field visits. The position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
