Job Summary

Securian Financial Group is seeking a highly skilled Structured Assets Credit Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our asset management team, you will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating structured assets to ensure they meet our investment objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough analysis of primary and secondary structured asset markets to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Develop and present investment recommendations to the team, including structural and underlying asset analysis.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of current holdings, making adjustments as needed to align with our investment strategy.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the structured assets market.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and developments, applying this knowledge to inform our investment decisions.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a structured analyst role, with a proven track record of success in a liability-driven and/or total return environment.
  • Current or working towards CFA and/or MBA certification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to make objective recommendations and defend viewpoints.
  • Strong math and analytical skills, with a deep understanding of structural nuances and modeling capabilities.
  • Ability to distill and communicate complex issues and assumptions.
  • Broad understanding of financial markets and risk models, supported by a background in math, economics, or statistics.
  • High level of curiosity, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to teamwork.
  • Experience utilizing research tools such as Bloomberg, Intex, Excel, and Tableau.
