Job Summary

This position requires a blend of clinical expertise, empathy, and a deep understanding of the complexities of addiction and recovery processes. As a Registered Nurse at White Dove Detox, you will play a critical role in our patient care team, providing medical and psychiatric nursing care to individuals undergoing substance abuse treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status, including physical and psychological needs.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for side effects and reactions.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Provide direct nursing care and support during detoxification and treatment processes.
  • Educate patients and their families about substance abuse, treatment options, and coping strategies.
  • Monitor patients' progress and adapt care plans as needed.
  • Coordinate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.
Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Utah with no restrictions.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of nursing experience, with a strong preference for experience in substance abuse, mental health, or a related field is preferred but not necessary.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse patient population.
  • Strong clinical skills, including assessment and medication administration.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Knowledge of substance abuse disorders and evidence-based treatment practices.
