Job Summary:

Atlas is seeking a skilled CMT Field Technician to join our team in St. This individual will primarily be providing field testing and inspections of concrete, masonry, soils, aggregates, and asphalt for private and public projects including, but not limited to, buildings, roads, bridges and related infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Relays information to project manager and/or engineer, with limited in-field decision making.
  • Transports equipment, test specimens and/or documents to field personnel, laboratory, clients or other offices, and provides physical assistance in equipment set-up.
  • Enters daily field observation reports and summary reports electronically.
  • Performs field quality control tests of concrete and masonry construction.
  • Performs field density testing on soil, concrete, asphalt and other construction materials.
  • Assists other technicians or professional staff on tasks and supports other departments as necessary.
  • Follows Atlas' safety policies and procedures.
  • Physical strength, stamina and dexterity to lift and move 50lbs, stoop, bend, and stand throughout the course of a workday in varying weather conditions in varying terrain.
  • Must be willing to travel near the reporting office and surrounding areas as required by assignments.
  • Experience with/within a construction related field is a plus.
  • APNGA Nuclear Certification, American Concrete Institute (ACI) Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade 1, OSHA 10-hour Construction, etc.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to learn and operate specialty equipment.

Additional Requirements:

  • Materials Laboratory, Geotechnical Drilling, or Soils related experience would be a plus.
