Job Summary

Evaluate and implement medically prescribed physical therapy treatment plans to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Intervention
    • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' conditions to identify treatment needs.
    • Develop and implement personalized physical therapy treatment plans to address identified needs.
  • Supervision and Leadership
    • Oversee the activities of physical therapy assistants, students, and support personnel to ensure seamless treatment delivery.
    • Mentor and guide PT and PTA students during clinical rotations to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure informed decision-making and optimal outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Education and Licensure
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Physical Therapy required upon hire.
  • Certifications and Training
    • PT - Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state of Kentucky required upon hire.
    • BLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider within 90 days of employment.
  • Skill and Attributes
    • Demonstrate critical thinking and decisive judgment to make informed treatment decisions.
    • Work effectively under minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of patient care.

    • Frequently standing and walking throughout the workday.
  • Lifting and Carrying
    • Frequently lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Pushing and Pulling
    • Frequently pushing and pulling objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Repetitive Movements
    • Frequently performing repetitive hand and arm movements.
  • Vision Requirements
    • Frequently using depth perception, distinguishing color, seeing far, and seeing near.
