Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join our team at PAE Consulting in Seattle, Washington. As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of deliverables and documents, including narratives, calculations, drawings, and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply electrical distribution, lighting, and power systems design
  • Effectively communicate design options to a diverse stakeholder group
  • Provide engineering direction and guidance for the project team
  • Independently evaluate and apply engineering judgment, techniques, and procedures to complete a project from concepts through construction
  • Oversee electrical load calculations
  • Complete the project within the budget and schedule
  • Knowledge of other disciplines and direct interdisciplinary coordination
  • Provide updates to master specifications; provide input into standards
  • Apply knowledge of building codes and electrical industry standards
  • Perform engineering calculations and equipment selection
  • Provide opinions of probable construction costs
  • Perform site visits and issues reports
  • Engineering application of distribution Load Flow, Short Circuit, and Arc Flash Energy analysis using Easy Power
  • Implement the project quality management plan (QMP)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering discipline work
  • Relevant Professional Credential (i.e., PE) preferred
  • Requires a minimum 2-4 years of Electrical E-2 or 3-5 years' related work experience
  • Advanced understanding of electrical engineering concepts
  • Thorough understanding of project phases and their associated deliverables
  • Develop the ability to assemble and run a team
  • Strong delegation skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge and application of the NEC and relevant building and energy codes
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Revit/AutoCAD
  • Easy Power

What We Offer

PAE Consulting offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $86,400 - $115,400 annual, straight time overtime pay, and a comprehensive benefits package, including performance bonus, employer-paid health insurance, 401k account contribution, professional development reimbursements, commuter benefit, cell phone stipend, life insurance, and disability benefits.
