Aquatic Safety Specialist

Columbus School for Girls seeks a highly motivated and certified lifeguard to join our team as an Aquatic Safety Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety of students and patrons of our aquatic facility, maintaining order on the pool deck and in the water, and responding to emergencies.
The ideal candidate will have current lifeguard certification, a strong background in aquatic safety, and excellent communication skills. If you are a team player with a passion for safety and customer service, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- General supervision and safety of students and patrons of the aquatic facility
- Maintaining order on the pool deck and in the water
- Monitoring designated areas to recognize signs of danger
- Responding to emergencies and rescuing swimmers in danger of drowning
- Performing first aid procedures
- Responsible for pool operation, including scheduled chemical testing
- Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of all areas
- Performing various maintenance duties as directed
- Responsible for completing accident reports
- Responsible for cleaning and trash removal at the end of the shift
Requirements:
- Current lifeguard certification or willingness to get certified
- Current background check or willingness to obtain one
